walkkaro's journey began in 2023 December in Kochi, followed by key milestones which include Climathon, Decathlon 5K Walk and Freedom Walk. The movement scaled further with Kerala's largest walkathon - the inaugural walkkaro Kochi Walkathon 2025 - where 5,000+ walkers participated. walkkaro also actively participated in walk advocacy initiatives such as walkway audits in collaboration with Walkable Kochi.
In 2025 walkkaro also expanded to Kozhikode and Coimbatore, where it anchored showpiece walk initiatives like Saree Walk with Women in Chamber of Commerce, Wayanad and Power Walks in Coimbatore.
